Al-Noor Upper KS2 pupils present assembly on Islam at John Bramston

As part of Islam Awareness week and promoting respect for different faiths and beliefs Al-Noor pupils were invited to John Bramston Primary School in Hainult to deliver an assembly and quiz on Islam and Ramadhan ( a holy month coming up in June).

Pupils were brave and articulate in front a very large audience who were receptive and engaged.

Our warm thanks for the invitation and opportunity go out to the staff and pupils at John Bramston.

Al-Noor Primary’s Year 5 Class host Islam Awareness Week for LBR Schools

This years focus for Islam Awareness Week 7th-11th March 2016 was Islam and the Curriculum.

Each class focused on subject matter and its significance in Islam and Muslim contributions to specific subjects covered across the National Curriculum.

Year 5 pupils welcomed pupils from local schools throughout the week to view the school’s Exhibition, introducing them through a short presentation on Islam. They engaged with our visitors at stalls, each presenting the work of a class, answering questions and discussing the work. Pupils were also given the opportunity to take part in a lively Q&A session where they could ask any question they could think of about Islam to get some reliable answers to a much misunderstood faith.
