Bringing the renowned Al-Noor Boat Race from London, UK to Ontario, Canada — The Al-Noor Canadian Boat Race invites teams, families, and supporters to come together and race for charity.
The idea behind the Al-Noor Boat Race
The Al-Noor Boat Race first started back in London, England in 2018 where 20 charity teams united and came together to raise funds for their respective causes, and compete with each other on the day fostering the spirit of unity and community to make a fun filled day of racing, amazing food and family fun for everyone. To date by the Grace and Mercy of Allah, the Al-Noor Boat Race has raised almost $4M Canadian Dollars helping over 70 charitable causes and 300 boat teams.
Coming in August 2027, Al-Noor Foundation is pleased to announce we will be taking the Al-Noor boat Race to Canada in’shaa’Allah! Why a Boat Race?
Boat races are part of the great heritage of British culture and an amazing way to unite both competitors and communities together behind a common cause.
Dragon Boat racing is something which is growing in popularity in the UK, originating from Southern China’s Guangdong Province. The boats we will be using can accommodate up to 17 riders at a time and will be provided by a specialist Dragon Boat company which the Foundation has partnered up with to run the event.

This was a phenomenal event, good friendly competition in an amazing location outdoors whilst raising much needed funds for a huge range of causes. Can’t wait for the next one!
Shaikh Fuad Abdo, Imam
The Al-Noor boat race was the highlight of Muslims in Rail’s events calendar in 2019. To this day we look back fondly on the memories and experience. We were blown away by the organisation and the family atmosphere made it a great day out for all!
Mahfuz Miah, Trustee
