Anyone can! We will have 3 different races on the day, so when signing up please select the correct option:

Children aged 4-7 will take part in the KS1 race.

Children aged 8-11 will take part in the KS2 race.

Anyone older will need to sign up for the 5K men’s or women’s race.

Young children should be accompanied by an adult as there are no babysitting facilities onsite.

The event will be held in Goodmayes Park, Aberdour Road, IG3 9RT.

The run will take place in the park on public footpaths. Each race (KS1, KS2, 5k) will have specific signposting as to direct runners on the day.

The fee covers the participant t-shirt, medal and administration costs. 

Participants who are raising money for Al-Noor will not need to pay the registration fee.

Registration is currently open and will close when we have reached our capacity

All donations will be going towards funding the school’s religious education provision; with any surplus going towards the Al-Noor Careers Service and the Al-Noor Youth Club.

If you want to run for your own charity please ask them to get in touch with Al-Noor so that they can be vetted and onboarded onto the event.

Those running for charities other than Al-Noor will need to pay a £25 registration fee.

There is no set amount, however we would ask each participant to aim for a £100 target. The more money we raise will go to helping educate more children Insha Allah.

The Al-Noor Fun Run welcomes participants from all ages and abilities, so no prior experience is necessary. Feel free to walk, jog or run!

No prior experience is required, but the more you prepare for the run the easier it will be. For those who are new to running, maybe allocate some time to walk/jog a 5k and see how you find it; you may want to take up some running practice over the coming weeks.

Wear any comfortable, breathable clothing or sportswear and a good pair of broken in trainers. 

Note to new runners: it is ideal to not run in new trainers, wear comfortable shoes that you have already broken in from use, as new footwear can cause blisters/sores while running.

Yes, our marshalls will be recording the time and position that you came in your race.

Please arrive at 8:30am for registration.

The races will be staggered with KS1 and 2 races going first, followed by the ladies’ and mens’ races. The first race will start at 9am and the last race will start at 11am. The races will finish when the last person crosses the line.

Admin fees are non-refundable.

There is parking available around the park, free of charge.

There will be public toilets in the park.
