Assistant Head

Part-time (2 days), fixed term 3 year contract to start November 2020 

The ideal candidate:

  • is analytical and able to compile, read and present data accurately as well as use it to make timely, well-judged and optimal interventions to teaching and learning;

  • is warm, personable and approachable by staff members, pupils and parents alike;

Please note, the ideal candidate would be for someone who is able to work part-time across our two
schools. Al-Noor Voluntary Aided primary school and Al-Noor Independent primary school are

Arabic Teacher

Part time post, ASAP October 2020

Part time contract from October 2020- August 2023

Al-Noor Primary is looking for an enthusiastic teacher of Arabic with great subject knowledge and passionate about children’s learning.

The ideal candidate:

  • can demonstrate significant impact on pupil learning in previous positions;
  • holds relevant qualifications and QTS;
  • has attained a high level of proficiency in the core professional standards of teaching -particularly in teaching and learning skills; 
  • strongly supports our vision;
  • is highly motivated;
  • is an effective team player;
  • Would be a positive & enthusiastic role model for our pupils.

Candidates who do not have QTS but hold a degree with significant previous experience of teaching the UK National Curriculum and NQTs, should also apply.

Midday Supervisor   

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 7.5 Hours (term time only, flexibility required)

Start date:  Immediate

Pay: Minimum wage rate

The role will involve:

  • The management of and assistance in the set- up of the hall for lunch each day, including school and packed lunches
  • Ensuring high standards of behaviour using the school’s behaviour management policy
  • The management and deployment of all midday assistants
  • The management of and assistance in ensuring high standards of health and hygiene.

The ideal candidate has:

  • Minimum qualifications of 5 GCSEs at grade C or higher, including English and Maths
  • Experience of supervising large groups of children preferred
  • Experience of midday supervision and its management
  • Excellent behaviour management skills.
